EMBER Portable is a self-powered, forced-air propane heater built to go where a cord can't: the cockpit, the flybridge and the dock. Its fan runs off the flame itself, so there is no extension cord to run and no outlet to find. CSA certified to U.S. standards for indoor and outdoor use.
On the Boat
At 24 lbs and 15" W × 12" D × 13" H, EMBER is easy to carry aboard and set up in the cockpit or on the dock. It runs on standard 1 lb propane cylinders, or on a 20 lb tank with an adaptor. Pulse ignition lights it at the push of a button. A 1 amp USB port, powered by the same thermoelectric generator that runs the fan, charges a phone on board.
Built-in safety features include an oxygen depletion sensor (ODS), automatic tip-over shutoff, flame-out protection and a wide, low-center-of-gravity base. Cool-touch surfaces keep the frame, top, sides, back and bottom cool to the touch, and a protective grill guards the Fireglass and is safe to touch.
18K BTU Forced-Air Heating
A fan drives warm air outward and down toward people, instead of letting it rise. Three settings: 18,000, 9,000 and 4,000 BTU per hour. A fan boost button drives maximum airflow when you need to warm a space fast.
Self-Powered, Forced-Air Fan. No Cord. No Outlet.
An integrated thermoelectric generator converts the burner's heat into electricity to run the fan and the USB port. The fan engages within 30 seconds of ignition. The fan needs no batteries; a single AA powers the pulse ignitor.
Design
A blue flame burns behind Fireglass, a sealed ring of light that gives a soft glow without an open flame. Clean lines and a matte finish in black or white suit a teak table as well as a deck at home.
Other Uses
The same heater works on patios, decks, cabins, RVs, campgrounds and off-grid. Every unit is hand-assembled in Seattle.

Heated Propane Locker
The pressure inside propane tanks decreases when exposed to cold temperatures resulting in lower run times. The EMBER propane locker is warmed to maximize real world run times. The BlazOn EMBER holds two 1lb propane tanks, for a combined burn time of up to 10 hours. Larger tanks can be used with our tank adapter.
