A mushroom heater sends its heat straight up. The EMBER Patio Heater is a self-powered, forced-air propane heater: its fan drives warm air out and down toward the people around it, on the patio, the lawn or the terrace.
Heat goes where your guests are: out, not up.
- Directed warmth. A built-in fan drives warm air outward and down toward guests, instead of straight up the way a mushroom heater does.
- Feel the heat where you sit. The fan pushes warm air about 8 feet out toward the seating area.
Self-powered, forced-air. No cord, no outlet.
A built-in thermoelectric generator turns heat from the flame into the electricity that powers the fan, so the fan runs on its own: no outlet, no cords, and no batteries for the fan. A single AA battery powers the pulse ignitor. Just connect a 20 lb propane tank.

- About 24 hours on high. About 24 hours on a 20 lb tank on high, 50 on medium and 100 on low.
- Push a button to light it. Push-button pulse ignition lights the EMBER.
- No tank in sight. The 20 lb propane tank sits concealed in the stand.
- Stores neatly off-season. The top of the heater lifts off the stand to store indoors until the weather turns again.
Rolls where you need it. The included stand rolls on four locking 360-degree casters across patio, deck or lawn, then locks in place with a step on the brake. Roll it to wherever tonight's layout needs it, lock it down, and let it glow.

Because it's CSA certified to U.S. standards for indoor and outdoor use, it can also come inside to the cabin or the garage when the temperature drops; follow all included safety and ventilation instructions. Lift the heater off its stand and carry it to the dock, the campsite or the tailgate.
